Highland Games : Historical Reenactment Groups
Observe artisans in typical 16th century Scottish village scene as performers demonstrate the arts and crafts of the period. Learn how to wear the “great kilt” (all nine yards of material) and watch bobbin lace making, spinning and wool preparation, inkle looming, leather crafting and much more. All demonstrations are performed in authentic Renaissance style clothing with emphasis on the middle class tradesmen and women who would have lived in a village or town.

Also enjoy demonstrations by Phoenix Woodwright Steve Yockey showcasing "period wood-craft". Steve uses tools which are quite old, nearly all of which are identical to those used in Europe in the middle ages, renaissance, and age of discovery.
